Myskiv/Samoday and Bourne/Crabb in final duel for Qinzhou gold

Qinzhou, China, October 3, 2018 – Russia’s Taras Myskiv and Valeriy Samoday and USA’s Tri Bourne and Trevor Crabb are set to duel in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Qinzhou 3-star final, following their straight-set semifinal wins.

The Russians and the Americans both endured the three-match hurdles lined-up for the day to reach the Qinzhou men’s final.

Myskiv and Samoday came all the way from the qualification round and had a great winning run in the competition. On Wednesday, they prevailed in two tiebreakers before their straight-set (21-18, 21-14) semifinal finish against Australia’s Cole Durant and Damien Schumann.

“It was our third game for today and we are really tired, but I am happy that we are in the final,” Myskiv said. “It’s been a good year for me, but this is only my second 3-star tournament.

“My first tournament was in Haiyang and we lost in qualification, but now I am so happy to be in the final in Qinzhou.”

“All matches were very hard that is why it was extra special for us,” Samoday added. “All of it were interesting and amazing.”
