South Africa’s Williams/Sekhonyana will be seeded 40th in the FIVB World Championships this year. Their federation qualified for a spot through CAVB competition and the pair was selected to represent their homeland.Williams, 33 and 5’6”, lives in Capetown and Sekhonyana, 28, 5’10”, resides in Bloemfontain. The duo has competed in two FIVB international events as a team with two 17th place finishes.Williams has played in two FIVB international events. Sekhonyana has six FIVB events on her results sheet with two 17th place finishes. Neither player has qualified previously for the FIVB World Championships and neither has played in The Hague.
