Anders Mol, Norway - “I don’t know what has happened the last month. It’s been unreal. The whole journey has been unreal for us. We did not expect this. Our goal for the season was to take a medal and we did that already in Brazil in Itapema in May. We had to reach for a higher goal and of course that was to take a gold medal. And we were going for the cowbell in Gstaad and since then we just wanted to win everything. We decided to just do our best here and the European Championship. It’s been amazing. We had a real bad tournament in Ostrava and a bad draw as well. It was the first tournament since we switched partners in Baden and it was hard to get back together again after not practicing together for a month. We were kind of doubting the season right there, really angry we didn’t play as good as we did before. We found our way and now we’ve won four tournaments in a row and the four most important tournaments of the year. The atmosphere here is something special. To play inside a tennis arena, we’ve never experienced it before and we love it. This town is so close and doesn’t disappear. You can feel the pressure, it’s hard to talk on the court and we love that. We can’t wait to be back here this year.”

Christian Sorum, Norway - “We always believed we could do good on the court for sure. We knew we had a level, but we had some bad tournaments, had some struggling and we managed to fight through those periods and suddenly it just fell. After Gstaad everything was just a good flow for us. This is a team and also a family. It’s just a big family we’ve put together, they were hear watching us every match.”

Grzegorz Fijalek, Poland - “We had chances in the first set, but we didn’t take advantage of them. But they are in great shape and have been the best team in the season for sure. It’s not easy to come back when you lose the first set and they built a big lead. It was another good step for us here in Hamburg. It was a good weekend for us and we need to be happy because we did a great job. Unfortunately, we lost the final, but we played well, and the opponents were much better. It was a great season. I hope we can do better the next time.”

Michal Bryl, Poland - “We don’t know how to beat them just yet. Hopefully we can do it in the future. In this match, it’s hard to tell what we did wrong. They played well, and they deserved it. But it’s certainly an amazing result for us in our first time in the Finals. We just have to keep working to win a gold medal next season.”
