Marketa Slukova, Czech Republic - “They are an awesome team, they have a special game style, they play a lot of second balls which makes it very hard to prepare so all the time you have to improvise in different situations. I’m happy we stuck together especially in the third set when we started so bad. We had some troubles, but we adjusted, and we were able to turn it into a victory.
Barbora Hermannova, Czech Republic - “It was really a tough game. We are all strong teams and the difference was we didn’t let go in the third set. We didn’t let our mistakes pull us down. We stayed focused and we were just fighting until someone made a mistake and we were fighting to the end. We were trying to hold a high level of our game for as long as possible.”
Taliqua Clancy, Australia - “We had really good moments, I think it’s just the experience they have more as a team. Those are the moments where we just need to be patient because we’re still coming to doing that well. I think it’s incredible where our team’s going to go. There were some opportunities where we could take the match and we just didn’t take them. It’s unfortunate but it’s the way the game goes.”
