Menegatti and Orsi Toth share strong bond on and off court

Qinzhou, China, October 3, 2018 – Marta Menegatti and Viktoria Orsi Toth are making their presence felt again with their strong performances on the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour.

The Italian pair renewed their partnership in July, which instantly resulted in a gold medal win at the Agadir 2-star event in Morocco. The pair went on to compete at the Vienna 5-star and Moscow 4-star with ninth and fifth place finishes, respectively.

The positive vibe between the two athletes seems to be flowing so well that they have reached the Qinzhou 3-star semifinal round, which has opened an opportunity to reach the podium again in less than three months.

“The more you play together, the more you have the opportunity to know each other,” Menegatti said. “We had a little stop in the last few years, but now we are working and training well with our coach. Things are working for us, so we are enjoying every training and every match. That is essential for us.”

Their good chemistry on the court is undeniable, but they have also forged a strong bond off the court.

“We always see each other and do things together like watch movies and eat sushi,” Orsi Toth said. “It’s always nice to have Marta on the court, but I also enjoy this part of our friendship. We have kept a close relationship.”
