Di Giantommaso and Silvestre off to hot start in Siofok

 
Siofok, Hungary, August 24, 2018 – French duo Romain Di Giantommaso and Jeremy Silvestre had a striking performance to start their campaign in the men’s main draw of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Siofok 1-star on Friday.



The French top seeds did not even spend half an hour on the sand to redeem their ticket in the top 12 with their 28-minute long 2-0 (21-10, 21-13) win over Hungary’s Balint Janossy/Gergely Takacs.

The 2017 Youth Commonwealth Games champions Javier and Joaquin Bello also had a great performance at the Plasz Siofok Nagystrand. The Englishmen started the tournament with a three-set victory against Norwegians Sadegh Mohajer and Kjetil Tellnes 2-1 (21-17, 19-21, 15-10).

In one of the most exciting matches of the day, young Hungarians Artur Hajos and Bence Streli edged Japanese duo Koichi Nishimura and Junki Hatabe 2-1 (19-21, 21-18, 15-13).
