Yangzhou, China, October 14, 2018 – The all-Russian final ended in victory for Konstantin Semenov and Ilya Leshukov against Viacheslav Krasilnikov and Oleg Stoyanovskiy at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Yangzhou 4-star.
Semenov and Leshukov rallied from a set down to win 2-1 (14-21, 21-19, 15-13) and secure the gold medal.
“It was a very important match for us because we just started playing in the World Tour this year and it was against my former partner (Krasilnikov),” Semenov said.
“We had a terrible performance in the first set. In the second and third sets, we traded a lot of points with our opponents so we had to change tactics. My partner had very good sideout today.”
Semenov and Leshukov’s victory in Yangzhou is their second, following their top podium finish at the Mersin 3-star in Turkey.
