Medal day in Ostrava – all live on YouTube

 
Ostrava, Czech Republic, June 24, 2018 – Eight matches remain to be played at the $300,000 double-gender four-star Ostrava stop on the 2018 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour to determine the women’s and the men’s medallists, who will climb the podium at the Lower Vitkovice industrial heritage site during the awarding ceremony at the end of Sunday.

All eight games – the semifinals and the medal matches – will be streamed live on the FIVB YouTube channel.
 

The last competition day will start at 9:05 local time with the first women’s semifinal, between Germany’s Karla Borger and Margareta Kozuch and Canada’s Heather Bansley and Brandie Wilkerson. An hour later, Czech Republic’s Barbora Hermannova and Marketa Slukova will draw the crowds to the centre court for their semi against Germany’s Victoria Bieneck and Isabel Schneider.

The women’s third place match is scheduled for 13:50 and the big final – for 16:20.


Men’s action will open at 11:35 local time with the semifinal between Czechia’s Ondrej Perusic and David Schweiner and Poland’s Piotr Kantor and Bartosz Losiak. At 12:35, Spain’s Pablo Herrera Allepuz and Adrian Gavira Collado will take on qualifiers Konstantin Semenov and Ilya Leshukov of Russia.

At 15:05 is the start of the men’s bronze medal match and the battle for gold is set to get underway at 15:35.
