World Tour bound for Jinjiang

 
Jinjiang, China, May 30, 2018 – The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour is heading back to China, this time, to the city of Jinjiang for a double-gender event that will take place from May 31 to June 3.



Two European duos lead the men’s draw. Germany’s Nils Ehlers/Lorenz Schumann are confirmed as the top seeds, followed by Slovakia’s Nejc Zemljak/Jan Pokersnik.

The women’s draw is headed by the host country’s Wang Fan/Xia Xinyi, who are seeking a top podium finish this season after taking silver medals at the Lucerne 3-star and Sydney 2-star. Brazil’s Josemari Alves/Liliane Maestrini are seeded second.



China will host men’s teams from Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, Norway, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand and the United States.

The countries represented in the women’s tournament with China are Brazil, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand and the United States.

The tournament will start with the qualification round on Thursday, May 31, and the main draw on Friday. The quarterfinals will be on Saturday with the semifinals and final matches on Sunday.
